Maintenance

  • Verify from the product tag information that the voltage, amperage and phase are compatible with your power supply.
  • Make sure that the control voltage and amperage matches that of your immersion heater.
  • Be sure you have the proper grounding connections to prevent the possibility of stray electric currents.
  • Do not cut the 3 ft. flexible armoured cable , keep cable opening away from fumes, vapor and moisture. Cable opening should face downward.
  • Confirm that the heater sheath sheath material is compatible to your tank process solution: Check with your chemical supplier. Ask them to provide you with an MSDS sheet for your particular process solution.
  • Maintain proper liquid level. Never allow liquid level to drop and expose the heater hot zone. On a bayonet style heater do not expose the metal tank stand - off the side of the side of the heater.
  • Do not try to by pass or tamper with the built-in low liquid thermal protection sensor.
  • If you are unsure of proper installation, contact a qualified electrician or contact us directly.
